About
Cherokee Youth Works is an initiative of Cherokee FOCUS that works with both in-school and out-of-school youth ages 16 to 21. The goal of CYW is to see the youth complete their high school education and successfully graduate or receive their GED diploma if they have already dropped out of school. The youth also receive work readiness training, learn jobs skills and attend life skill classes. After earning their diploma, we help students move on to post-secondary education or into the workforce. In short, CYW seeks to create productive, self-sufficient citizens who contribute to their community.
